At Bookkeeping with McKayla, the goal is to help you become successful in your business, whatever that means to you. Most business owners didn’t start their business because they wanted to spend hours managing transactions, reconciling accounts, or trying to make sense of financial reports. A business owner starts their own business so they can focus on sharing something they’re passionate about with the community.
At Bookkeeping with McKayla, I want to help you grow that passion through competent, reliable, and clear bookkeeping with monthly reporting. Currently, I hold QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor Level 1 and 2 Certifications as well as QuickBooks Payroll. I work remotely with businesses across the country, providing everything from monthly bookkeeping and reconciliations to clean-up’s/catch-up’s, QuickBooks Payroll management, and preparing end-of-year documents for your CPA for taxes.
What matters most to me isn’t simply keeping your books accurate, it’s building a relationship based on trust. When you work with me, you’re never just another client in a long list of clients. I intentionally keep my business personal so I can invest in each client’s success. Your business goals become important to me because when your business grows, mine does too.

About Your Bookkeeper
Hi, I’m McKayla, the owner of Bookkeeping with McKayla!
Before becoming a bookkeeper, I started my career teaching high school mathematics. While it may seem like an unexpected career shift, teaching gave me many invaluable skills that I use as a bookkeeper. Namely, it gave me the ability to tune into the deeper concerns of individuals and get to the root of a problem. It also taught me how to explain numbers in ways that actually make sense, answer questions without overwhelming people, and help clients feel confident, not intimidated, when reviewing their financial reports.
Outside of work, you’ll usually find me exploring trails in the area, visiting local markets, or spending my time outdoors with my boyfriend and our two dogs. I believe the best businesses are built on genuine relationships, and I enjoy getting to know the people behind the businesses I serve.
